17 Ziele für unsere Welt
Die Stabsstelle Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung des Bezirks Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf präsentiert verschiedene Projekte und Ansätze für eine nachhaltige, gemeinsame Zukunft. Im großen, weitreichenden Rahmen der Agenda 2030 entstand in der Kooperation mit dem Partner aus Sri Lanka, der Stadt Kalpitiya, die «Education Box #2030».
«Vor zwei Jahren starteten der Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf und die Gemeinde Kalpitiya/Sri Lanka ihr Partnerschaftsprojekt. Das Berliner Start Up Merijaan und Kite Surfing Lanka initiierten den kommunalen Austausch mit der Stabsstelle Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (SBNE) der Abteilung Stadtentwicklung, Bauen und Umwelt. Mit dem Besuch der Partner*innen aus Sri Lanka zum World Clean Up Day 2019 in Berlin und dem Gegenbesuch der Berliner*innen in Sri Lanka im Februar 2020 entstand die Idee gemeinsam Bildungsmaterial zu entwickeln: die Bildungsbox #2030 für Schüler*innen (12-16 Jahre) aus Kalpitiya und Berlin. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, warum Meeresschutz, Plastikmüllvermeidung und die Umsetzung der 17 UN-Nachhaltigkeitsziele auf kommunaler Ebene alle betrifft.
Mit unterschiedlichen Partner*innen wie z.B. der Biologischen Anstalt Helgoland/ Helmholtz Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung, der Fotojournalistin Christiane Flechtner, dem Start-Up Merijaan und der Jugendkunstschule Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf wurden Module/Workshops entwickelt. Ziel ist es, Inhalte über Meeres-, Umwelt- und Artenschutz zu vermitteln, Handlungsoptionen im globalen Kontext zu entwickeln und lokal umzusetzen. Wie z.B. der Upcycling Workshop von Merijaan (in Berlin in Kooperation mit der Jugendkunstschule Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf), die Game-App “One Million Tons” (M. Käseberg und T. Falcke) oder das DIY Daumenkino (Gesine Harries). Clips zu den Modulen sind auf dem YouTube-Kanal der SBNE zu finden.»

Die Delegation aus Sri Lanka besuchte heute das BHROX bauhaus reuse auf dem Ernst-Reuter-Platz den Abschluss ihres Deutschland-Austauschs in diesem Jahr. Wie schon in 2019 heißt Lidia Perico von der Stabsstelle Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung die Gäste aus Sri Lanka willkommen. Auch in den kommenden Jahren werden wir die Teilnehmer*innen wieder im BHROX begrüßen.

17 goals for our world
The administrative department Education for Sustainable Development of the district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf presents different projects and approaches for a sustainable, common future. In the large, far-reaching framework of the 2030 Agenda, the «Education Box #2030» was created in cooperation with the partner from Sri Lanka, the city of Kalpitiya.
“Two years ago, the district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the municipality Kalpitiya/Sri Lanka started their partnership project. The Berlin Start Up Merijaan and Kite Surfing Lanka initiated the municipal exchange with the administrative department Education for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Department of Urban Development, Construction and Environment. With the visit of the partners from Sri Lanka to Berlin for the World Clean Up Day 2019 and the return visit of the Berliners to Sri Lanka in February 2020, the idea arose to jointly develop educational material: the educational box #2030 for students (12-16 years) from Kalpitiya and Berlin. The focus is on the question of why marine conservation, plastic waste prevention and the implementation of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level affects everyone.
Modules/workshops were developed with different partners such as the Biological Institute Helgoland/Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, the photojournalist Christiane Flechtner, the start-up Merijaan and the Youth Art School Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The aim is to convey content about marine, environmental and species protection, to develop options for action in a global context and to implement them locally. Such as the upcycling workshop by Merijaan (in Berlin in cooperation with the Youth Art School Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf), the game app “One Million Tons” (M. Käseberg and T. The delegation from Sri Lanka visited today the BHROX bauhaus reuse on Ernst-Reuter-Platz the conclusion of their Germany exchange this year. As in 2019, Lidia Perico from the staff unit Education for Sustainable Development welcomes the guests from Sri Lanka. In the coming years we will welcome the participants again at BHROX.
