The Hans and Charlotte Krull Foundation has been actively promoting the visual arts and garden art in Berlin and Brandenburg since 2010. Based in Berlin, the foundation supports contemporary artistic practice through twelve-month working grants, offering artists the time and resources to explore new ideas, advance their practice, and realize ambitious projects. In doing so, the foundation plays a distinctive role in strengthening the cultural landscape of the region.
Beyond its fellowship program, the Krull Foundation also funds artistic projects, initiatives in garden art, and scholarly publications. Its unique focus on both visual art and garden art distinguishes it from most cultural institutions and reflects a commitment to fostering creativity across disciplines.
The foundation owes its existence to Charlit Krull, who established it through her will in memory of her parents, the stage artists Hans and Charlotte Krull. Today, the foundation continues to honor that legacy by supporting artists and projects that shape the future of cultural life in Berlin and Brandenburg.
