Featuring the collective
OUTSIDEININSIDEOUTINSIDEOUTOUTSIDEIN
📍 September 20, 18:30 | BHROX | Ernst-Reuter-Platz, Berlin-Charlottenburg
Meeting point: Ernst-Reuter-Platz / Coordinates: 52.512336, 13.322253
For the third edition of Urban Memory Joints, we are honored to host the collective OUTSIDEININSIDEOUTINSIDEOUTOUTSIDEIN, who will guide participants in an exploration of the urban environment surrounding Ernst-Reuter-Platz. This encounter builds upon their recent month-long residency in Saxon Switzerland National Park, where the group immersed themselves in both indoor and outdoor environments. The experience provided fertile ground for creating a dialogue between natural and urban landscapes—mediated through sound and attentive practices of listening.
The performance, titled Sonic Confession, will be streamed live in collaboration with Oolongradio.
Following their intensive artist laboratory (August 11 – September 8), the collective now invites the public to engage with the processes and outcomes of their explorations. Sonic Confession continues an ongoing investigation into the intersections of sound, environment, embodied knowledge, and collective creation. Field recordings, deep listening, and sonic experimentation serve as tools to deepen our ways of perceiving and experiencing the world.
This year’s iteration extends the scope of previous editions, weaving together diverse perspectives—from herbalism and folklore to technology, disembodied entities, and emerging modes of perception.
