The 2nd mobility meeting on the cycle track along the Straße des 17. Juni took place this week at BHROX bauhaus reuse. Options for the cycle path No. 5 between Ernst-Reuter-Platz and Charlottenburger Tor were presented. After a welcome by TU Berlin Vice President Hans-Ulrich Heiß, the plans of infraVelo and Ramboll Group were presented. On the basis of a walk-through of the Straße des 17. Juni, the individual aspects of the planning were explained and then discussed in the BHROX with representatives of the TU Berlin, the UdK Berlin, the district office Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, the Landesdenkmalamt Berlin and other stakeholders on site regarding feasibility and implementation.

The BHROX bauhaus reuse is a pilot platform for the “Campus Charlottenburg”, which is a lighthouse project at the science location City West to promote the dialogue between science and civil society. Campus Charlottenburg” was initiated by the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the two universities Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) and Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK). The campus consists of a network of committed institutions based in Charlottenburg: from the cultural sector the German Opera, research institutions such as the Frauenhofer Institute and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) or organizations such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The BHROX bauhaus reuse serves as a discourse forum, a showcase and to initiate transdisciplinary cooperation projects in science, art and best practice.
