Short-Films Screening in BHROX bauhaus reuse on the Ernst-Reuter-Platz

This Wednesday and Thursday, short films by Ukrainian students will be presented in a screening series. The program includes both documentary and narrative movies.
The theme of the first day of screenings (August 17th) is “War”. In this screening we will present films created after February 24th, 2022.
On the second day (August 18th), films on various other topics will be shown.
All films have english subtitles.
All collected funds will be donated to the Plast National Scout Organisation of Ukrainian Scouts PLAST in Berlin, which, together with Goods4Ukraine, are engaged in the purchase of first-aid kits, dressing materials, and other medicines that are transported to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Summer of Culture
City West 2022
As part of the Ukrainian Summer of Culture City West, in addition to the colourful programme on the Breitscheiplatz and Budapester Straße summer stages, impressive events focusing on Ukraine will also take place in other venues. For example, the chapel of the Memorial Church will be the venue for singing and reading in times of war on Sunday, 14 August 2022, 7.30 pm. While the first bombs were falling in Ukraine, the dokumentartheater berlin was compiling texts about the war. Together with musicians and singers from Ukraine who could be brought to safety, readings with musical accompaniment were created. In the second part of the evening, the group VEREMYIA will sing. For this purpose, the singers travelled especially from Rivne (UA) to position themselves with their voices against the Russian war of aggression.
