2. Das Lebendige
3. Die Ahnen

Sauti ya àkókò [Sounds of Dimensions]
– a movement vortex / Jumoke Adeyanju, Thomias Radin, Jack Mensah
This movement vortex presents ancestral astral griot stories and sounds from
Berlin-based african, caribbean and diasporic dancers Jumoke Adeyanju and
Thomias Radin as well as sound artist Jack Mensah aka MOYAH ‘LEVEN.
Together they envision and create possible re-inventions of a complex self in a
complex time with contemporary artistry, improvised movement art and archival
sonic transmitter tools, disrupting the concepts of past, present and future.
Sauti ya àkókò curated by Jumoke Adeyanju introduces its first dance performance
as a movement vortex incorporating experimental live sound art.
The performance is comprised of three chapters the floor, the middle ground and
timeless transcendency, illustrating the infamous circle of life as told by West
African Philosophers. Specifically known in Yorùbá mythology as three dimensions
of existing realms:

1. The Unborn
2. The Living
3. The Ancestors

Concept: Jumoke Adeyanju
Dancers: Jumoke Adeyanju (Nigeria/GER) & Thomias Radin (Guadeloupe/FR)
